Karen and the Hartfield Knitters

All over the country we have been hearing your wonderful stories of how you are helping us raise awareness of animals in war – and money to support our good causes. We wanted to share this one, sent to us from Karen Haynes, a lovely lady from Leatherhead, in Surrey. She tells us: “I organise a knitting class at Hartfield House Care Home which opened last year here in Leatherhead. The residents, some of whom have dementia, enjoy their knit and natter every Tuesday morning. We decided to knit some War Horse poppies, along with traditional poppies for the British Legion. The total raised was £40.00.”

It’s thanks to caring people like Karen and her wonderful Hartfield Knitters that we are able to help worthwhile equine, animal and military charities. Thank you to them – and to all of you who have chosen different ways to lend your support. Please keep your stories coming in; we love to hear from you!
