War Horse Ambassador in Hollywood blockbuster

Our Ambassador and great friend, the acclaimed soprano Christina Johnston, features on the soundtrack of a new Hollywood movie that is receiving rave reviews.

Christina found out last year that, alongside colleagues from the band Hybrid, her voice had been chosen to sing on the opening track of the film Wonder Woman 1984, which was released in December. But she was sworn to secrecy and can only now speak about her surprise and delight at being involved in the movie, a sequel to Wonder Woman (2017) and stars actress Gal Gadot (pictured above) in the title role.

Nicknamed “The Nightingale”, Christina has addressed audiences all over Europe, Asia and South America, and was accepted with scholarship when she was just 18 to The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has sung for the Presidents of the Czech Republic and the People’s Republic of China. She sings A Million Tears, the official song for National Animal Day, specially written by Warwick, Young and Maclean, which we hope will be released as a single later this year.

Christina has a life-long love of horses and says she is proud to be associated with War Horse Memorial and The Animal Purple Poppy Fund. She explains: “When I was asked I was so honoured and felt extremely proud. I value the role that animals play in many people’s lives and their service and sacrifice in war, and the powerful bond between humans and animals.”

Christina sings live every Friday night on YouTube. For details go to https://www.christinajohnstonofficial.com
