We have designated August 23 each year as National Animal Day – a time to focus on the service and sacrifice of animals in wars and the comfort and companionship they bring us in times of peace. For the past couple of years we have been unable to commemorate this important milestone in the way we would have liked. But we know that many of you have been buying and wearing our purple poppy pin badges and tying our knitted poppies onto the collars of your beloved horses, donkeys, dogs and cats in your own personal act of remembrance.

We took the time out with a few wonderful War Horse Memorial supporters and friends to lay a wreath at the feet of Poppy our War Horse memorial in Ascot. We were blessed to have local vicar Father Darryl Hannah speak to us about the importance of animals in our lives, and our duty to care and protect them.

Our Animal Purple Poppy Fund continues as we work to honour our commitment to those animal charities we have chosen to support. If you would like to help us please go to our SHOP to buy our limited edition badges and knitted poppies. Thank you.
Alan and Susan.
