Mane Chance were delighted to welcome Anne Milton MP and Alan Carr MBE Co-founder of War Horse Memorial to the Sanctuary in Compton, near Guildford, recently to present their new accessible minibus. The minibus was jointly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s People’s Projects campaign and the Purple Poppy Appeal. Sanctuary founder and Director Jenny Seagrove says it’s an exciting addition to Mane Chance as it will allow the charity to welcome more people, most of whom have additional needs, to spend time with the herd of 35 horses.
Mane Chance rescues and rehabilitates abused and neglected horses and invites the local community to visit the Sanctuary and have a moment of respite away from the challenges of daily life. This minibus will help them widen their reach, enabling more groups to visit by also providing transport to those who otherwise would be unable to travel to the site in Compton. Mane Chance is one of our chosen good causes.
