Animals of war remembered

From Devon to Durham, from Lancashire to London – and all across the UK – you have been laying wreaths and wearing your purple poppies with pride to remember the animals of war this Remembrance weekend and Armistace Day. Thank you from War Horse Memorial for commemorating alongside the men and women who serve in war the animals who also played their part in securing the democracy and freedom we all enjoy today. Here is a snapshot of the many pictures you have sent us…

  1. Thank you for all of these heart-warming photos, and glad to see three of mine on your site! It looks like the start of a rolling ball to me , will get bigger and better the more people know of the War Horse Memorial, the Animals in War Memorial, and of the sacrifice all of these creatures gave without knowing really what they gave. They will never be forgotten. And never should be. As we all know – they had no choice.
